For plain and<br \/>\ncountersunk holes stresses due to remote tension and out-of-plane<br \/>\nbending are considered. In addition, for plain holes the effect of<br \/>\npin loading is simulated by a cosine pressure distribution constant<br \/>\nthrough the plate thickness and unaffected by any distortion. For<br \/>\ncountersunk holes, the ratio of shank length to plate thickness can<br \/>\nvary from 0 to 1 (pure conical hole to constant diameter hole) and<br \/>\nfor both hole types the diameter-to-plate thickness can vary from<br \/>\n0.5 to 5. The program gives stress concentration values at 21<br \/>\nequally-spaced positions along the bore, and maximum and minimum<br \/>\nvalues with their exact locations. Graphs illustrate the effect of<br \/>\nvarying the major parameters on the distribution of stress along<br \/>\nthe bore.
