This graphical representation is called <i>EXPRESS<\/i>&#8211;<i>G<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><i>EXPRESS<\/i> is a data specification language as defined in ISO 10303-1. It consists of language elements which allow an unambiguous data definition and specification of constraints on the data defined.<\/p>\n<p>The following are within the scope:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>data types;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>constraints on instances of the data types.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following are outside the scope of this part of ISO 10303:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>definition of database formats;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>definition of file formats;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>definition of transfer formats;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>process control;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>information processing;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>exception handling.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i>EXPRESS<\/i> is not a programming language.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Industrial automation systems and integration.
