As this method was originally intended for a different purpose, the language is not appropriate for this application, so this document refines that language, specifying an approach for improving data quality management when an organization uses the process reference model in <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">ISO&nbsp;8000-61<\/span> <\/span>&nbsp;as the foundation for specifying the measurement goals for the process measurement necessary to support the maturity assessment.<\/p>\n<p>The following are within scope of this document:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>the relationship between the Test Process Improvement method [<span class=\"xref\">10<\/span>] [<span class=\"xref\">11<\/span>] and the procedure for assessing process maturity of data quality management as specified by <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">ISO&nbsp;8000-61<\/span> <\/span>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>the role of process measurement according to <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">ISO&nbsp;8000-63<\/span> <\/span> in supporting assessment of process maturity;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>the outputs necessary from the procedure.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following are outside the scope of this document:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>the purpose, outcomes and activities of processes for data quality management;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>specific content for the scope of individual quality management areas, the maturity levels and the maturity level targets;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>specific content for each inspection order including the frequency of inspection points.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This document can be used in conjunction with or independently of quality management systems standards.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>BS ISO 8000-64.
