{"id":255102,"date":"2024-10-19T16:51:41","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T16:51:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-61481-22014\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T12:18:05","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T12:18:05","slug":"bs-en-61481-22014","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-61481-22014\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 61481-2:2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This part of <span class=\"std\"> <span class=\"std-ref\">IEC&nbsp;61481<\/span> <\/span> is applicable to portable <i>phase comparator<\/i>s of resistive type to be used on electrical systems for voltages from 1&nbsp;kV a.c. to 36&nbsp;kV a.c. and frequencies of 50&nbsp;Hz and\/or 60&nbsp;Hz.<\/p>\n<p>This standard is applicable to <i>phase comparators of resistive type<\/i> used in contact with the bare conductive parts to be compared:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>as a complete device including its <i>insulating element<\/i> or<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>as a separate device, adaptable to an <i>insulating stick<\/i> which, as a separate tool, is not covered by this standard.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE\n <\/div>\n<p>Some parts such as the <i>contact electrode<\/i> or the <i>insulating element<\/i> of a <i>phase comparator<\/i> as a complete device may be dismantled.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Some restrictions on their use are applicable in the case of factory-assembled switchgear and on overhead systems of electrified railways (see <span class=\"xref\">Annex&nbsp;A<\/span>).<\/p>\n<p>A device that is designed to provide other functions than phase comparison is a different device and is not covered by this standard. For example&nbsp;a device designed to be also used as a voltage detector is not covered by this standard (see <span class=\"xref\">Annex&nbsp;A<\/span>).<\/p>\n<p>Products designed and manufactured according to this standard contribute to the safety of the users provided they are used by persons trained for the work, in accordance with the hot stick working method and the instructions for use.<\/p>\n<p>Except when otherwise specified, all the voltages defined in this standard refer to phase-to-phase voltages of three-phase systems.
