Description

This document specifies electrical safety requirements for components, which are by design connected to two (or more) conductive parts that are required to be separated by basic, supplementary, double or reinforced insulation. It applies to components used in voltage class B electric circuits in electrically propelled road vehicles according to ISO 6469-3, including vehicle power supply circuits according to ISO 17409. This document applies to components using solid insulating material or clearance and creepage distances. This edition does not provide requirements for relays, motors and circuit boards.
