This is the second edition of CSA P.6, Test method for measuring thermal efficiency of gas-fired pool heaters. It supersedes the previous edition, published in 1993 by the Canadian Gas Association under the title Testing Method for Measuring Thermal and Operating Efficiencies of Gas-Fired Pool Heaters.

Scope

This Standard specifies the test method for measuring the thermal efficiency of gas-fired swimming pool heaters.

1.2

This Standard applies to newly produced pool heaters (constructed entirely of new parts and materials) for heating, with either natural gas or liquefied petroleum, non-potable water stored at atmospheric pressure.
