However, a new equation has been introduced with the same degree of accuracy, but with different parameters, that may also be used for design.<\/li>\n<li>Experimentally and theoretically, the thickness of web plate in the plate girder subjected to bending has a minor effect on the bearing capacity of plate girders in bending.
