The requirements for this work<br \/>\nare defined in [6], and the overall architecture model is defined<br \/>\nin [5].<\/p>\n<p>This standard defines bearer support of G.711 PCM encoded voice<br \/>\nover IP as defined in RFC 1890 at a minimum, for use between media<br \/>\ngateways in a cdma2000 Legacy Mobile Station Domain. This standard<br \/>\nutilizes existing IETF and 3GPP2 protocols when applicable to<br \/>\nminimize the new work needed. The necessary signaling needed to<br \/>\nsetup the bearer paths is defined in [3].<\/p>\n<p>For the initial release of this standard, the following basic<br \/>\ncapabilities defined in [6] are supported. Enhanced capabilities<br \/>\nmay be defined in future versions of this standard:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The yy interface spans across a managed IP network.<\/li>\n<li>The QoS mechanism for the yy interface is not defined in this<br \/>\nversion of the standard.<\/li>\n<li>All Security issues between Media Gateways are not defined in<br \/>\nthis version of the standard.<\/li>\n<li>TrFO support over the yy interface is not defined in this<br \/>\nversion of the standard.
