For test procedures for<br \/>\nfiber optic systems or subsystems, refer to the TIA-526 series of<br \/>\ndocuments.<\/p>\n<p>The test procedures included in the addenda to this document are<br \/>\ndesigned to satisfy the broadest possible industry requirements; in<br \/>\ngeneral, special test methods are not included. In order to<br \/>\nadequately cover these broad industry needs, many of the addenda<br \/>\nrequire that some &#034;option designator,&#034; some test parameter<br \/>\ndefinition, and\/or some pass\/fail criteria to be specified whenever<br \/>\nthe addendum is called out. Only in special cases (such as<br \/>\nspecified DoD requirements) are special test details listed in the<br \/>\naddendum in addition to the general requirements. Specific test<br \/>\nrequirements (including DoD requirements) can, of course, be<br \/>\nmodified by direction of the Detail Specification so that the<br \/>\nparticular test can accurately reflect the special test needs (more<br \/>\nor less severe than standard) of the component in question.
