Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n 1.1<\/span> This test method covers the determination of the boiling point distribution of hydrocarbon solvents by capillary gas chromatography. This test method is limited to samples having a minimum initial boiling point of 37\u2009\u00b0C (99\u2009\u00b0F), a maximum final boiling point of 285\u2009\u00b0C (545\u2009\u00b0F), and a boiling range of 5\u2009\u00b0C to 150\u2009\u00b0C (9\u2009\u00b0F to 270\u2009\u00b0F) as measured by this test method.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n 1.2<\/span> For purposes of determining conformance of an observed or calculated value using this test method to relevant specifications, test result(s) shall be rounded off \u201cto the nearest unit\u201d in the last right-hand digit used in expressing the specification limit, in accordance with the rounding-off method of Practice E29<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n 1.3<\/span> The values stated in SI units are standard.
