However, in general, it does not take into account<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>persons (including children) whose<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>physical, sensory or mental capabilities; or<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>lack of experience and knowledge<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>prevents them from using the appliance safely without supervision or instruction;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>children playing with the appliance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE 101 Attention is drawn to the fact that&gt;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>for appliances intended to be used in vehicles or on board ships or in aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>in many countries additional requirements are specified by the national health authorities, the national authorities responsible for the protection of labour, the national water supply authorities and similar authorities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE 102 This standard does not apply to appliances<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>for medical purposes (IEC 60601);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>intended for immersion in water during use.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Household and similar electrical appliances.
