Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.1<\/span> This specification covers bare hard-drawn round copper-clad steel wire for electrical purposes (Note 1<\/span>).<\/p>\n

Note 1:<\/span> Wire ordered to this specification is not intended for redrawing. If wire is desired for this purpose, consult the manufacturer.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

1.2<\/span> Four grades of wire are specified, designated as follows (Note 2<\/span>): Grade 40 HS, Grade 40 EHS, Grade 30 HS, and Grade 30 EHS.<\/p>\n

Note 2:<\/span> The grades covered by this specification correspond to the following commercial designations: \u2007\u2007 Grade 40 HS<\/span>, High Strength, 40\u2009% Conductivity. \u2007\u2007 Grade 40 EHS<\/span>, Extra High Strength, 40\u2009% Conductivity \u2007\u2007Grade 30 HS<\/span>, High Strength, 30\u2009% Conductivity. \u2007\u2007Grade 30 EHS<\/span>, Extra High Strength, 30\u2009% Conductivity.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
