1.1 This specification covers hot-rolled, carbon, structural, high-strength low-alloy, high-strength low-alloy with improved formability, and ultra-high strength steel sheet and strip, in coils and cut lengths.<\/p>\n
1.2 Hot rolled steel sheet and strip is available in the designations as listed in 4.1.<\/p>\n
1.3 This specification is not applicable to the steel covered by Specification A 635\/A 635M .<\/p>\n
1.4 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard.<\/p>\n
