This British Standard specifies requirements for heavy duty braided rubber cords in nine sizes from 5 mm to 26 mm in diameter.
These cords are suitable, when cut up into unit lengths, for the manufacture of shock absorber cord assemblies and for other aeronautical purposes.
It is intended that these cords are used for cord assemblies manufactured in accordance with BS SP 170-171.
