This Section of BS 3531 specifies the main dimensions of, and requirements for, semi-rigid medullary pins of the type generally referred to as “Rush pins” for use in orthopaedic surgery, and for introducer/extractors for use with such medullary pins. Other types of medullary pin, e.g. flexible or Enders pins, are excluded.

NOTE The titles of the publications referred to in this standard are listed on the inside back cover.
