Description<\/strong><\/p>\n This specification defines the qualification program for surge Three types of fuses are covered in this specification. They Type-I-The type 1 fuses is designed lo operate (open) within a Type II- The type II fuse is designed to operate (open) within a Type III – The type 111 fuse is designed lo operate (open) Preconditioning<\/strong><\/p>\n This process is intended to simulate exposure to the thermal and Surge Withstand Telecommunications Fuse Qualification Specification<\/b><\/p>\n
\nwithstand telecommunication fuses. Fuses covered will be limited to
\naxial-leaded, radial-leaded and surface mount configurations having
\na current rating of no greater than 60 A, maximum voltage rating of
\n600 VAC\/DC and interrupting rating of 10,000 A maximum. The
\nqualification program is defined in table 1, and the How diagram.
\nSpecification sheets can be added, as required, lo define specific
\nproducts or to cover unique \/ specific requirements. This document
\ndoes not relieve the suppliers Of their responsibility to maintain
\ntheir own company's internal qualification program and the fuses
\nshall continue to mew all applicable requirements of UL 248-14
\nCSA-C22.2 No. 248.14. Test procedures and requirements described in
\nthis specification have been generated for a Type II fuse, unless
\nstated otherwise.<\/p>\n

\noverload shall be substituted throughout this specification where
\n250% overload is noted. All other requirements shall continue to be
\nmet.<\/p>\n

\nstandard.<\/p>\n
\nwithin a given lime period at 300% overload. For a Type III fuse,
\nthe 300% overload shall be substituted throughout this

\nshall continue to be met.<\/p>\n
