Two types of appliances are covered as defined in Clause 1.2. <br \/> The scope of this Standard is limited to appliances that are designed primarily to have a decorative appearance. <br \/> The following are excluded from the scope of this Standard: <br \/> (a) Appliances intended for space heating (in the form of radiant or convected heat). Requirements for such appliances are set out in AS 4553. <br \/> (b) Indoor flueless appliances. <br \/> Figures referred to in the text and methods of test (M.O.T) are set out in Appendices A and G. <br \/> Methods of test are set out in Appendix B.
