DLC is normally coated on metal or ceramic.<\/p>\n<p>The test results are not applicable when the DLC coated parts operate in an unlubricated environment.<\/p>\n<p>The positioning of this test method in the process of parts evaluation performed by automobile manufacturers is shown in <span class=\"xref\">Annex A<\/span>, and the correlation between results obtained by the test method specified in this document and results obtained by the test method using conventional engine parts is described in <span class=\"xref\">Annex B<\/span>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>BS ISO 4821.
