{"id":690199,"date":"2024-11-06T05:21:18","date_gmt":"2024-11-06T05:21:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/tia-tsb-4742011\/"},"modified":"2024-11-06T05:21:18","modified_gmt":"2024-11-06T05:21:18","slug":"tia-tsb-4742011","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/tia\/tia-tsb-4742011\/","title":{"rendered":"TIA TSB-474:2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The intent of this document is to evaluate the aspects of<br \/>\nMachine-to-Machine (M2M) communications that are required to ensure<br \/>\nthat cdma2000<sup>\u00ae1<\/sup> network infrastructure is a viable<br \/>\ncommunication network option for the M2M applications,<br \/>\nincluding:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Identify M2M service functionalities that capture the<br \/>\nfundamentals of M2M communications and possible M2M<br \/>\napplications.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0Identify applicable M2M communications use cases and<br \/>\ncharacteristics to ensure that they are the basis for the evaluated<br \/>\nnetwork enhancements through out this study.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Identify the list of potential requirements needed to enable<br \/>\nmachine type communications on cdma2000 networks based on the<br \/>\nidentified M2M service functionalities.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Evaluate the impact of the anticipated large number of M2M<br \/>\ndevices and how to minimize this impact on the cdma2000 networks<br \/>\n(e.g., a clear definition of M2M Group Based communications and its<br \/>\nusage).<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Identify possible enhancements that would help in providing<br \/>\ncdma2000 network operators with lower operational complexities when<br \/>\noffering machine-type communication services.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Optimize network operations to minimize the impact on device<br \/>\nbattery power usage.<\/p>\n<p>This study of M2M Communication is targeting the enablement of<br \/>\nmachine type data communication services and M2M applications on<br \/>\ncdma2000 networks.<\/p>\n<p><sup>1<\/sup>cdma2000<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> is the trademark for the<br \/>\ntechnical nomenclature for certain specifications and standards of<br \/>\nthe Organizational Partners (OPs) of 3GPP2. When applied to goods<br \/>\nand services, the cdma2000\u00ae mark certifies their compliance with<br \/>\ncdma2000<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> standards.
